My Philips Avent sterilizer has an unpleasant smell when in use

Do you notice an unpleasant smell when using your the Philips Avent sterilizer? This can happen when the parts are not well cleaned before placing them in the Philips Avent sterilizer. Use this troubleshoot to easily solve this.

Baby milk or food residues may end up on the heating plate when the bottles are placed in the sterilizer. These residues can cause an unpleasant smell when the sterilizer is heating up. To avoid this, always clean all parts before sterilizing.
