The milk from my Philips Avent fast bottle warmer is too hot or cold

Published on 01 June 2023
There are several reasons why the milk from your Philips Avent fast bottle warmer may not reach the desired temperature. Please refer to the guidance below to resolve common milk temperature issues.
We recommend using room temperature water for best results when filling your bottle warmer. Base the water level and setting on the amount of milk in the bottle, not the bottle's capacity.

In most cases, filling your bottle warmer with water to slightly above the level of the milk in the bottle is sufficient. When warming a large amount of milk, fill the bottle warmer to 1cm/0.4in below the rim.
Place the bottle into your bottle warmer, and then fill it with water (refer to the section above for guidance). Only switch on your bottle warmer after following these steps.

Adding the bottle after switching on the device will alter the final milk temperature.
The recommended heating times provided with your Philips Avent fast bottle warmer are based on polypropylene bottles. Glass bottles may heat more quickly, while silicone bottles heat more slowly.

When using a silicone bottle, allow it to warm for 3 - 4 additional minutes after the warming cycle.
Only use the "Keep warm/defrost" setting when heating milk in a milk bag.
