Does not support Android over 4.0

Purchased the cable to connect my Android mobile to this projector and after spending a long time on the support line was told that this device is not compatible with any android device with software above 4.0, this is no good seeing as the latest Android software is 7.0. There is no fix for this and has left me out of pocket.
