Jakarta, Indonesia – Royal Philips (NYSE: PHG, AEX: PHIA), a global leader in health technology, announced that they are joining forces with the National Brain Center Hospital (RSPON) to improve stroke care in Indonesia by signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). This strategic partnership aims to set a new paradigm of treatment for stroke patients, known as Direct to Angio Suite (DTAS).
Direct to Angio Suite (DTAS) is an advanced stroke care workflow that enables comprehensive stroke diagnosis to be conducted directly in the neuro angiography suite. By bypassing the need for an initial CT scan or MRI, suspected stroke patients can undergo an angiography procedure immediately, expediting diagnosis and potentially life-saving mechanical thrombectomy treatment. This streamlined approach is designed to reduce delays and improve outcomes for patients in critical need of urgent intervention.
