docking speaker

Don't be fooled by its size. Or looks. Or price. Or even brand. This product is well built. Stylish. Clever. And most importantly, it sounds great! You don't have to lower your expectations because of its size. You have to hear one, touch one, use one to believe me. I'm so glad I found a dock like this.

Amazing sound for the size of the unit, looks really nice too, cannot fault it except... really annoyingly keeps losing the signal when tuned into radio stations, over an hour period will lose the signal dozens of times, sometimes it comes back itself, but more often than not, you have to reset it, drives me crazy so only really good as an expensive charger/clock, not the reason I bought it for, the superb sound it produces.

The sound quality is good for the price of the docking station I like the added features like night light and dat and time from the phone also I find it very handy to be able to connect 2 devices at one time.

The design is good and it's really easy to use, just plug and go. I had the previous model for my iphone 4 and got this one as a present with my iphone 6. As soon as I pressed 'play', an annoying buzzing sound accompanied the music, and it's especially noticeable at low volume (I use it to charge my phone at night and get up in the morning so the volume is usually set on low). I never had that problem with my previous speakers, and loved the sound for such a small device. Was very happy with previous purchase, so why is there this buzzing noise now? I can't return it now because I'm not in the country where it was bought so I hope Philips can find a solution for this.

Not being computer savvy(it's an age thing ) I have only just stumbled onto this site even tho I have had this product several years & NOT USED IT(because of the noise)except as a bed room nite lite.I bought it just after getting a Nano 7th gen.Took the thing back to Currys & got another new one & was told the fault was the ipod.Sent the ipod back & got given a new replacement,same problem,went back to Currys & was told sorry,out of warranty!!RUBBISH MACHINE

A good product. Before they de-supported the iStore app that is ESSENTIAL to make it work - no IOS 11 update, and the thing has turned into a doorstop. Wasteful, Poor Value. Ecologically Stupid. You basically stole the product I bought away from me.

Lovely design. Compact easy to use. However sound is very poor with humming drowning out the radio sound and continues each when phone unplugged! I have two of these and one is worse than the other, still within warranty so will be contacting Philips to resolve.

So disappointed with this speaker. The sound is actually quite good for a small speaker but the permanent background hum means I hardly ever use it. It remains a glorified charging station for my phone. Ok if you want to play a cloud volumes but at low volumes which is what I would normally use it for, the hum drives me mad and I usually end up playing the music Direct from my phone instead. Very disappointed.

I've just purchased this Philips iPhone speaker dock from Dixons Retail but I'll be returning it tomorrow for a refund due to the very annoying background hum sound which gets even worse at low volume settings. I had expected a well known manufacturer such as Philips to test a product properly before release into the market place, clearly I was wrong!

Perfect sound when the lamp / display is not turned on otherwise you get a low buzzing sound from the speakers. Had the product replaced and same problem occurred with the replacement. Not good enough for the price and a Philips branded product
