Why can I not play back videos /music /pictures files when I connect a USB stick to the Philips Picopix 4150?

The Philips PicoPix 4150 doesn't have a Media player therefore its not possible to playback videos, music and pictures files from a USB stick. The USB port on the PPX4150 is used only for charging and firmware update.
